The Artist´s Observatory
A vision of the sky as a painter or a poet could see it.
This is the aquarel which is basis for the oil painting. It shows the signs of the zodiak and some more star signs.
I made rough sketches of the figures.
I want people to recognize the signs, so they are quite old fashion drawings.
Looking at it with data gives possibilities! I can configure the shapes, look at the colors, make them smaller, compose them. I hope! It will be interesting to see how the physical painting will evolve!
I made the first ground layer of paint on a 100×80 cm canvas. The dimension is a bit more square than my A4 aquarel. I begin with light colors, so it is easier to place the figures.
4.2.25 This will be a challenging painting, with all those characters. I´ve read about their backgrounds as star constellations, interesting stories from Greek mythology. Inspiring!

Working on the canvas, new layer on background. Ultramarine color will be dominant. Too raw on the right side yet.
